Breathwork & Meditation

Breathwork techniques can help keep you grounded, calm and help to relieve stress and anxiety. In this 45-minute session you will be guided through a meditation that includes some simple yet very effective breathing techniques. The combination of the two is extremely effective in helping you to become more peaceful and centered - which will help you navigate your daily stressors from a much more calm and grounded state. The sessions will be online, with an optional in-person group session every 4-6 weeks.

FAQs

  • Do I need to keep my video on?

This is completely up to you. It’s always nice to turn on your video before we begin and after we finish to say “hello” and “goodbye” - but, it’s definitely not mandatory. It’s perfectly fine if you wish to keep your video off the whole time. I do ask that you use your correct name.

  • Can I still join if I am new to yoga and/or meditation?

Yes, definitely!  Everyone and all levels of experience are welcome and encouraged to join. For beginners, I always show options and I’m always so happy to see people use those options. It means that you are listening to your body and progressing at your own speed.

  • What if there is a lot of noise in my home or surroundings?

I mute all participants before I start the class.  Therefore you need not worry about any noises disrupting the other participants.  And I encourage you to welcome any of those noises or disruptions around you as part of your experience and your practice.  No point in letting them cause any annoyance in your mind. Oh and, of course, I can’t mute myself, so if you are lucky you will hear my cat dropping by for a visit!

  • How do I sign-up and pay for a class?

Click either on one of the “join class” icons or directly on the class you wish to join on the schedule. Payments are made through e-transfer to sweetsmileyoga@gmail.com Please pay prior to class on the day of the class.

  • What devices can I use to view your class session?

You can view the classes on your mobile phone, desktop computer, laptop or iPad.

  • Do I need to be sitting on the floor for meditation?

You can be in any position that is comfortable for you. Sitting on the floor, on a cushion, on a chair or even lying down is fine. Your choice!

  • Do I need specific equipment to workout from home?

For the wellness sessions, we can work with as much or as little equipment you have. For yoga sessions, I recommend that you have a yoga mat.
